Proton pump inhibitors inhibit cancer

Routine use of proton pump inhibitors such as Dexilant, Nexium, Protonix and other anti-acid inhibitors are now available over the counter for heartburn and acid reflux. They can also help kill your cancer.

These drugs are known as lysosomal and autophagy inhibitors and can help to block your cancer cells.

Cancer cells have up regulated autophagy as a major metabolic pathway for obtaining nutrition to maintain the circulating cancer stem cells. This process depends on acidification of the lysosome which is in the cancer cell. Fortunately, this process in the cancer cell can be blocked using proton pump inhibitors. They block the cancer V ATPase pump.

By blocking his cancer cell pump, they change the pH from acid to alkaline thus rendering the lysosomes and autophagy nonfunctional. Then the cancer dies.

PPIs have been studied in the following cancer: Prostate cancer, B-cell lymphoma, rhabdomyosarcoma in children, pancreatic cancer, breast cancer, head and neck squamous cell cancer, gastric cancer, melanoma, multiple myeloma, and others.

These proton pump inhibitors are useful agents for the inhibition of this pump as well as restoring drug sensitivity for chemotherapy resistant cell types. They can also target circulating cancer stem cells. The use of PPIs in combination with drugs that inhibit oxidative phosphorylation as well as glycolysis would be advised to add a synergistic effect.

I always use a synergistic combination of treatments and cancer.
